As such, we strive to make the referral process as simple and straightforward as possible, so qualified patients can receive the innovative, cutting-edge treatments they deserve. Throughout the entire clinical trial experience, Dr. Jacobs is always respectful of your primary relationship with the patient. He doesn't aim to replace you as their healthcare provider, and instead seeks to foster a collaborative relationship that's in your patient's best interest.
The referral process will begin with a thorough discussion, during which Dr. Jacobs will explain the details of the study with you and answer any questions you may have. From there, he'll ask you to provide any thoughts you have about the patient and their condition, before we meet with the individual ourselves to enroll them in the program. As the study progresses, you will be notified regarding the stage your patient is in and the treatment they're receiving. Once the study is complete, we will promptly provide you with the results of any testing we performed as requested or if your patient requires any specific follow-up.
